It would have been better to lock only the group-stage matches and keep the knockout stages open until the end of the group phase. This way, we would know who finishes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each group. Even the NSA servers can’t predict the final group standings. :)

You need to fill in all the predictions all the way up to the finals.
Within the 'auxiliairy overview' you will find the following button 'automatically complete the countries of the 32th finale' but you will have to fill in the prediction for the 16th, 8th, quarter and semi finals as well.

From the start of the first match, the pool will lock.

Thank you for creating a very fun board for the predictions! Really looking forward to it. ;)

However, I have one remark. I am also with other people who is against filling up my prediction for the whole tournament without knowing who is passing through the group stages. It's impossible to make good prediction without knowing who is against who. It is the first time I am seeing this rule too if I am being honest, and I am basically doing it in the blind with those knock-out matches. I really really think we should reconsider that.

How am I supposed to know who plays against who after the group matches?
Shouldn't the teams for the round of 32 matches be auto-generated according to my group match predictions?
And then my predictions of those result in round of 16 matches?

Or is the idea that I use the "Group classification according to your own predictions" to fill in these unknowns?
Takes quite some time to make educated guesses then.

Just to make things more interesting, we have asked several AI solutions for a prediction as well and registered these in the pool.
Hence we have promted the following AI models:

- Gemini (Google)
- ChatGPT (OpenAI)
- CoPilot (Microsoft)

Let's see if SkyNet knows better then our colleagues ;)

once the pool phase is done, the pool wil be updated to reflect the winners of the pool phase in the knockout stage.
So you're poolstandings are not taken into account. Only the match predictions.

This is basically where things start to get exciting ;)

Just curious as to how we can get our country flag to display by our user name? Some people have their flags, whilst most it just shows a yellow box. I'd like my St. George's flag to be displayed :)

Thanks for your remark, yes we can change it.
However, we made this choice based on the fact that we want to keep it accessible for everyone.

If someone can change prediction untill right up to the game, they can take bookie predictions, injuries, red cards and that kind of stuff into account. Which makes this pool more of a 'the one spending the most time in it' the most likely winner.

By doing it this way it becomes a level playing field and more a game of luck!

Thanks for question!

Currently you need to fill in all the prediction up untill the finals. Once the first match start, you're not able to change the predictions.
You can find the Games rules in the menu on the left side.

On another note, it is possible to use the button "Pool standings according to your own predictions" which is a usefull tool to help predict the matches after the pool sessions.
